The AI's Impact on Cyber Security

Thanks to the emerging cyber threats, conventional cyber security measures are on the verge of pitying a rather pathetic picture. To such threats, AI turns frustration into confidence and emphasizes the prevention of threats by focusing on the monitoring of user activities and analyzing the network traffic to detect the threats in real time, allowing for immediate fingering of the threats.

Pentesting techniques

AI also comes in handy in more of the pentesting techniques since they are capable of carrying out automated procedures of scanning for the presence of vulnerabilities, thus freeing skilled workers to carry out complex evaluation of the less vulnerable systems. Such an assessment is particularly active since it determines how often an attack is likely to occur against specific assets and stratifies the identified vulnerabilities automatically ranking the most severe or critical ones with special notifications to the IT teams. Nonetheless, AI’s capability of improving the defense also poses new vulnerabilities which call for better practices within the security domain.
